Have you used google?
If you have a particular subject in mind, say maybe windmills, click
"images" on google, and then type in windmill clipart. Google can bring up
some pretty nice clipart to work with. And it's free, which is always nice.

Also, try doing a search for online coloring pages - I have found a
number of images this way.

Google Image - That's what I do too. I get some weird stuff, but I get some
cool ideas too. And if you really are looking for line art only, you can
type in "windmill drawing" and click image.

Daniel,
I LOVE clipart.com
Not free, but some really nice designs. They charge per week, so I
browse the catalog and wait until I've found at least a half dozen or
so images I think I'll want. Then I pay the fee and download like a
maniac for the entire week. There are about 30 letterbox ideas I'm
mulling--of those I've created probably 10 and about 5 of those are
actually planted!! My point is, the clipart costs a little bit more,
but I've been really happy with the quality and variety.
Also, there is a random free site I stumbled across:
http://etc.usf.edu/clipart/
Depending upon what you are looking for, the free Educational
Technology Clearinghouse has some usable art.
For REALLY basic stuff, don't forget to check out the Microsoft Office
clipart collection. There are some good designs in there very amenable
to stamps (our signature stamp is based on clipart from Microsoft
Office!).
Hope that helps,
Renee

A few of my favorites for free clipart:
http://www.harvestfields.ca/clipart/mainpage.htm
http://etc.usf.edu/clipart/index.htm
http://school.discovery.com/clipart/
I also like clipart.com, althought it is not free. Anything that comes from Dover publications (you can sometimes find their books cheap on eBay) is good too.
